Del’Shawn Phillips, an American football linebacker for the National Football League’s Baltimore Ravens, was born on October 9, 1996. At Illinois, he played collegiate football.
On April 29, 2019, the Atlanta Falcons signed Phillips as an undrafted free agent. On August 31, 2019, he was dismissed at the final roster cuts.
On October 30, 2019, the Buffalo Bills added Phillips to their practice squad. He signed a futures contract with the team on January 6, 2020, and played out the rest of the season on the practice squad.
On September 13, 2020, Phillips played in his first NFL game during the Bills’ regular-season opener against the New York Jets. On October 12, 2020, he was put on injured reserve after sustaining a quad injury in Week 1. He becomes operational on November 7, 2020.
On November 13, he was reinstated to the injured reserve list. The Bills released Phillips on January 19, 2021. Only two NFL games saw him participate, and all 14 of those snaps were on special teams.
Phillips inked a contract with the New York Jets on March 23, 2021. On August 31, 2021, he was released, and the following day, he was re-signed to the practice squad. On September 21, he was added to the active roster. On August 30, 2022, Phillips was released by the New York Jets.
The Baltimore Ravens took Phillips off waivers on August 31, 2022.
