Carter and other important Jets players are anticipated to participate in Sunday’s exhibition game against the Giants, according to sources.
Carter and other crucial veterans missed the second game of the preseason after Carter started the first one.
No one will be shocked if Breece Hall, the rookie who was selected with the 36th overall choice in this year’s draft, ends up getting more touches once the games matter.
Hall played in both games, filling in for Carter in the first. The Jets will soon have one of the best backfields in the game if Hall lives up to expectations and Carter builds on his impressive rookie campaign.
Though possibly not as much for Carter if he doesn’t get many carries anyhow and mostly plays on passing downs, quarterback and offensive line play are both important factors in RB fantasy production.
In Sunday’s final preseason game, it will be intriguing to see how the Jets divide between the two plays out.
Michael Carter was born on May 7, 1999, he is an American football running back for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football in North Carolina.
Carter made his first career start in Week 3 of his rookie season in 2021. He scored his first career touchdown in Week 4 in a 27–24 win over the Tennessee Titans.
He suffered a high ankle sprain in Week 11 and was placed on injured reserve on November 27, 2021. He was activated on December 18.
He finished his rookie season with 147 carries for 639 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns to go along with 36 receptions for 325 receiving yards. He finished fourth among rookies in rushing yards in 2021.
