The New York Jets cornerback D. J. Reed, also known as Duane Dennis Reed Jr., is well-known for his work in the National Football League. He is 88 kg and 1.75 meters tall. Reed attended Independence High School in Bakersfield, California. He accumulated 13 touchdowns, 1,150 yards of total offense, six interceptions, and five forced fumbles throughout his high school football career.
He was the only athlete in school history to compete in both football and basketball while receiving MVP awards in each sport. He decided to join the university’s Fresno State Bulldogs football team. When he was a true freshman at Fresno State in 2014, he redshirted.
After that, he changed schools and spent a year at Cerritos College. He transferred to Kansas State University, where he played football for the Wildcats. In December, he declared his intention to declare for the 2018 NFL Draft. The San Francisco 49ers selected him in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He won the Super Bowl LIV trophy in the second year of his career.
He was claimed off waivers by the Seattle Seahawks in August 2020. Reed continued to start for the remainder of the year as a result of his outstanding performance. Reed and the New York Jets agreed to a $33 million, three-year contract on March 17, 2022.
