Duane Dennis Reed Jr, professionally called “D. J.” Reed is well-known for playing with the New York Jets of the National Football League. He is 88 kilograms and 1.75 meters tall. Reed attended Bakersfield, California’s Independence High School. He had 13 touchdowns and 1,150 total offense yards throughout his high school football career, along with six interceptions and five forced fumbles.
He was the only athlete in school history to be named MVP in both football and basketball, in addition to playing both sports. He decided to play football at Fresno State University for the Fresno State Bulldogs. In 2014, as a true freshman at Fresno State, he redshirted.
He eventually changed schools and spent a year at Cerritos College. He once more changed schools, this time to Kansas State University, where he played football for the Wildcats. In December 2017, he declared for the 2018 NFL Draft. San Francisco 49ers selected him in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He won Super Bowl LIV in his second season.
He was picked up off waivers by the Seattle Seahawks in August 2020. Reed continued to start for the remainder of the season because of his good performance. Reed and the New York Jets agreed to a three-year, $33 million contract on March 17, 2022.
