Cornerback D. J. Reed, born as Duane Dennis Reed Jr., is well-known in the National Football League and plays for the New York Jets. He is 88 kilograms and 1.75 meters tall. Independence High School in Bakersfield, California is where Reed studied. He accumulated 13 touchdowns, 1,150 total offensive yards, six interceptions, and five forced fumbles during the course of his high school football career.
He was the only athlete in school history to compete in both football and basketball and earn MVP awards in each. He decided to join the school’s Fresno State Bulldogs football team. In 2014, when he was a true freshman at Fresno State, he redshirted.
He then transferred and spent a year studying at Cerritos College. He transferred, playing for the Wildcats football team at Kansas State University. In December, he declared that he would participate in the 2018 NFL Draft. In the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers selected him. The Seattle Seahawks claimed him off waivers in August 2020. Reed began each game for the remainder of the season due to his strong showing. Reed and the New York Jets agreed to a three-year, $33 million contract on March 17, 2022.
