One of the notable professional American football players is Elijah Riley, who currently plays strong safety for the National Football League’s New York Jets. On June 12, 1998, he was born in Port Jefferson, New York, in the United States. He participated in football when a student at Selden, New York’s Newfield High School.
At the United States Military Academy, he participated in collegiate football for the Army Black Knights football team. Riley joined the Philadelphia Eagles on April 26, 2020, as an undrafted free agent after the 2020 NFL Draft. On September 3, 2020, the Eagles released him during final roster cuts, then three days later, they added him back to the practice squad.
On October 10 and October 17, he was added to the active roster in preparation for the team’s games against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens in weeks 5 and 6. After every game, he was returned to the practice squad. He received a promotion to the active roster on December 16, 2020. He was released by the Eagles on August 31, 2021, and the following day he was re-signed to the practice squad. In November 2021, he signed with the New York Jets.
