Augustus Edwards is a running back for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League. He began his college football career at Miami before transferring to Rutgers. In 2018, he signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent after playing college football at Rutgers.
Edwards spent his early childhood in the United States after moving there from Liberia when he was just five years old. He went to Tottenville High School, where he also played football during his time there.
Multiple recruiting websites, including ESPN, 247Sports, Rivals.com, and Scout.com, all ranked Edwards as a three-star prospect.
Between the years of 2013 and 2016, Edwards received his education and played collegiate football at the University of Miami. In 2017, Edwards transferred to Rutgers and continued his football career there.
On May 4, 2018, Edwards became a member of the Baltimore Ravens organization as an undrafted free agent after signing with the team. He was cut loose on September 1, 2018, and signed to the practice squad the following day.
On October 13, 2018, he was elevated to the active roster. He played against the Tennessee Titans in Week 6 of the 2018 season and made his debut in the team’s 21–0 victory over the Titans. During the game, he had 10 carries for a total of 42 yards.
