Makai Polk is an American football wide receiver who currently plays for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League. Polk was born on August 4, 2001. (NFL).
Before going to Mississippi State, he had a college football career at the University of California. Polk spent his childhood in Richmond, California, and went to Susan Miller Dorsey High School for his freshman and
sophomore years of high school before moving to El Cerrito High School for his junior and senior years. Polk’s collegiate athletic career got off to a strong start with the California Golden Bears. At the end of his freshman campaign, he ended with 19 receptions, 295 yards, and 2 touchdowns.
Polk caught 17 passes for 183 yards and one touchdown during the Golden Bears’ COVID-19-shortened 2020 season. He also participated in four games for the Golden Bears.
Polk went through the process of transferring at the conclusion of the season. In the end, Polk moved his academic career to Mississippi State.
Prior to the beginning of his first season with the team, he was given the starting position and went on to lead the Southeastern Conference with 105 receptions, 1,048 receiving yards, and nine touchdowns.
After the conclusion of the season, he made the announcement that he will skip the remainder of his collegiate eligibility and instead join the NFL draft in 2022.
