Wide receiver and return specialist James Proche II plays for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League. He is 1.80 meters tall and weighs 91 kg. He was born in the American city of Dallas, Texas, on September 21, 1996. James spent his junior year at Red Oak High School before moving to DeSoto High School for his senior year due to academic problems at Prime Prep.
Due to kidney problems he developed during summer training camp, he only participated in seven games during his one season with the Eagles at DeSoto, but he caught 18 passes for 335 yards and a score. After high school, he enrolled at Southern Methodist University, where he played football for the Mustangs.
After choosing to redshirt as a true freshman, he participated in the season and finished second on the team with 57 receptions, 709 yards, and six touchdown catches. As a redshirt sophomore, he hauled in 40 passes for 816 yards and six touchdowns. During his redshirt junior season, he led the team with 93 receptions for 1,199 yards and 12 touchdowns, earning a berth on the first team of the American Athletic Conference (AAC).
He was chosen by the Baltimore Ravens in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He participated in his debut NFL game against the Cleveland Browns on September 13, 2020, in the season’s opening contest.
