Tony Poljan plays professional football for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League. He is a tight end for and is 2.01 meters tall. On April 25, 1997, he was born in Lansing, Michigan. He played football and basketball while attending Lansing Catholic High School.
He passed for 2,802 yards and 34 touchdowns in his second season as the Cougars’ starting quarterback while also rushing for 1,017 yards and 22 more. As a senior, he passed for 1,907 yards and 16 touchdowns while also rushing for 1,237 yards and 25 scores. He was chosen as the Division 5-6 all-state first team and the Michigan Gatorade Player of the Year.
He played collegiate football for the Central Michigan Chippewas at Central Michigan University from 2016 to 2019. During his debut season, he split his time between wide receiver and quarterback for the Chippewas. He transferred to the University of Virginia after the 2019 season, where he played football for the Virginia Cavaliers.
He caught 38 passes for 411 yards and six touchdowns in his lone season there. He signed a contract with the Baltimore Ravens on May 13, 2021, as an undrafted free agent. He was released on August 31, 2021, and the next day he was added to the practice squad. He and the Ravens reached an agreement on a reserve/future contract on January 10, 2022.
