Brent Urban continues to play defensive end for the National Football League’s Baltimore Ravens. Urban wears jersey number #68 for the team. He is currently 31 years old and was born on May 5, 1991.
Urban was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He participated in collegiate football at Virginia. Urban is the 26th Canadian to be selected in an NFL draft.
Brent Urban who was a defensive tackle with the Dallas Cowboys has been out with a triceps injury since October. It was hoped that he would return shortly to help a run defense that has recently had trouble.
Tuesday, Urban’s wife Kate informed the Cowboys of some bad news. He underwent triceps surgery, and as a result, he will miss the rest of the 2021 season.
One of the Cowboys’ most valuable off-season acquisitions was Urban. His numbers won’t impress anyone, but he was a force on the Cowboys’ interior defensive line, playing in six games and averaging approximately 27 snaps per game with four starts.
He was one of four future NHL draft picks on the AAA Mississauga Ice Dogs team in 2006 that won the Ontario bantam title and made it to the international stage at the age of 15.
Due to his history of injuries, Urban fell to the Baltimore Ravens in the fourth round (134th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft. He was a defensive end for a 3-4 defense as a rookie.
On October 26, he was put on injured reserve. Urban rejoined the Baltimore Ravens on May 20, 2022. In the past, he had played for the Tennessee Titans, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and Chicago Bears.
