He attended McKinney North High School in McKinney, Texas. There, he played football for the school’s team. He was selected to play in the 2016 U.S. Army All-American Game. He redshirted his first year at Texas A&M. In 2017, he played in all 13 games and recorded 20 tackles. In 2018, he participated in all 13 contests and recorded a total of 40 tackles and 5.5 sacks. As a junior, he made 45 tackles and 5.5 sacks. After the season, he decided to forego his senior year and enter the 2020 NFL Draft. He decided not to attend the 2019 Texas Bowl.
The Baltimore Ravens selected him with the 71st overall choice in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He was added to the squad’s reserve/COVID-19 list in November 2020, and he was activated in December. Justin recorded his first career sack in a match against the New York Giants that year.
