Michael Pierce is a well-known professional football player who played nose tackle for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League. He is 1.83 m tall and weighs 154 kg. He was raised in Daphne, Alabama, a city in the United States. He attended Daphne High School. After graduating, he enrolled at Tulane University, where from 2011 to 2012 he played NCAA football for the Tulane Green Wave.
When he transferred to Samford University in 2013, he resumed his undergraduate career there with the Samford Bulldogs. In May 2016, Pierce signed a contract with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent. He participated in all 16 games as a rookie in 2016, recording 35 tackles, two sacks, and one pass defended.
On March 25, 2020, he signed a three-year, $27 million contract with the Minnesota Vikings. He stated in July 2020 that he would like to skip the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, he returned and began at defensive tackle. Before going down with an elbow injury in the fourth week, he started the first four games.
He missed the next four games before being placed on injured reserve in November 2021. He started working in December 2021. The Baltimore Ravens and Pierce reached a three-year, $16.5 million agreement on March 17, 2022.
