Joseph Alan Garner is an English professional footballer who now plays for Fleetwood Town in the English Football League One.
Garner was born on April 12, 1988, and he currently holds the position of striker for the club. After beginning his professional career with Blackburn Rovers, Garner moved on to play for Carlisle United.
During his time with Preston North End, which spanned three years, Garner amassed over 150 playing opportunities and helped the team win the 2015 Football League One play-off Final.
Prior to that, in 2018, Garner made the move to Wigan Athletic, where he remained as a player until 2020. Garner spent his childhood in Blackburn, where he played for the Ewood Park youth and reserve teams.
At the youth level, he was a prolific scorer, and he once scored two hat tricks in the same game when playing against Manchester United U16.
Due to the intense rivalry for positions within the Blackburn lineup, Garner was unable to get into the main squad of Blackburn Rovers.
Midfielder Joe Garner is a youth international for Premier League side West Bromwich Albion and has also represented England at the under-19 level.
During the 2006 UEFA European Under-19 Championship elite qualification, Garner scored in a 2-1 loss to Belgium and played in a friendly against the Netherlands.
