Josh Ross, an American football linebacker for the National Football League’s Baltimore Ravens, was born on October 31, 1999. Ross wears jersey number 46 for the Baltimore Ravens. Ross was born and raised in Southfield, Michigan, and went to St. Mary’s Preparatory.
He had 142 tackles as a senior, including 20 for a loss, 12.5 sacks, three forced turnovers, and three fumble recoveries. Ross, a four-star recruit, chose Michigan over offers from Ohio State, Michigan State, and Notre Dame to play collegiate football.
For five seasons, Ross played for the Michigan Wolverines. Ross participated in all 13 of Michigan’s games during his freshman season, mostly on special teams. He was named honorable mention All-Big Ten Conference after the team’s sophomore campaign, in which he finished with 61 tackles and one sack.
Ross started the first three games of his junior season before suffering an ankle injury that prevented him from playing the rest of the regular season.
Ross made 53 tackles as a senior and once again earned honorable mention all-conference during the COVID-19 abbreviated 2020 Big Ten season. He started all six of Michigan’s games as a senior.
Ross decided to spend a fifth season as a graduate student at Michigan. Ross was chosen to the Big Ten third team and recorded 106 tackles in his final season, including nine tackles for loss.
On May 7, 2022, Ross signed a non-drafted free agent contract with the Baltimore Ravens. Out of training camp, he was included on the Ravens’ original 53-man roster.
