Samuel Charles Wiley popularly known as “Chuck” Wiley Jr. is a former American football player who spent seven seasons at the defensive end in the National Football League. He was born was born on March 6, 1975 and is currently 47 years old.
The Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Falcons, Minnesota Vikings, and New York Giants were the four teams he played for. He was a Louisiana State University football player.
At his pro day, Wiley bench pressed 225 pounds for 27 reps while running the forty in the 4.5 area. With a projected defensive end size of 6’3″ and 255 pounds for the Bears’ new defense, Chicago put Wiley through some positional workouts at the pro day.
Wiley started 25 of the 26 games he participated in over the course of the previous two seasons at UTSA. He recorded 79 tackles, 19.0 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, 2 passing defenses, 3 fumble recoveries, and a defensive touchdown.
Wiley went to the University of Mississippi from 2016 to 2019 (redshirted), and during that time he played 26 games at outside linebacker and defensive line, recording 5.5 sacks and 12 tackles. Wiley then transferred to the University of Texas at Arlington.
