Born Reginald David Vereen. Vereen’s 2019 football season at Newberry was cut short and his football career may have been cut short as a result of injuries he sustained in a car accident. He finished his sophomore year with a total of 56 receptions, 756 yards, and 7 touchdowns.
Vereen received his high school education at South Florence High School in Florence, South Carolina. During his junior year, he set single-season school records for receptions, yards, and touchdowns while playing for South Florence High School.
