Defensive back Kyle Hamilton, a star at Notre Dame, is slated to sign a $16.2 million, four-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens. Spotrac reports that the contract’s fifth-year option is set for 2026 and that it comes with a $9 million signing bonus.
At the 2022 NFL Draft, the Ravens picked Hamilton at No. 14 overall, despite the fact that Baltimore didn’t expect Hamilton to still be available at that point.
While on a pre-draft visit to the Ravens, Hamilton was approached by head coach John Harbaugh, who asked the obvious question because he knew Hamilton wouldn’t cave. The plan came together, and now Hamilton will serve as a cornerstone player for the Ravens for years to come.
He was a four-star plus recruit in the 2019 class and ranked No. 62 in the country by the On3 Consensus, a comprehensive and equally weighted industry-generated average. After his time at Marist School, the Atlanta native was ranked as Georgia’s No. 6 safety and No. 9 overall athlete.
Despite being widely recognized as one of the top defensive backs in college football, his poor performance at the combine resulted in a late drop that could have made him a steal.
