Nicholas Robert Moore is a long snapper for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League. Moore was born on December 9, 1992, and currently plays for the New York Jets (NFL).
After being drafted out of high school in the 30th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft by the Boston Red Sox, Moore participated in four seasons in the organization’s minor league system.
First base and third base were the primary positions that he played for the Lowell Spinners. Moore played college football at Georgia, where he was recruited to play linebacker and also played fullback.
During his time at Georgia, he also played fullback. In 2017, he began fishing for long snapper instead. Throughout his time with the Bulldogs, he played in a total of 23 games, including 14 as a senior in 2018.
During the 2019 NFL Draft, Moore was not selected by any team. Moore became a member of the New Orleans Saints on April 28, 2019, after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent.
On August 21, 2019, he was released from his obligations. Moore was selected in Phase 5 of the 2020 XFL Draft and immediately signed a contract to play for the Tampa Bay Vipers of the XFL.
After the first six games of the season, the league made the decision to suspend the season and allowed players to sign with NFL teams beginning on March 23, 2020.
