Markus Golden is an outside linebacker with the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League in the sport of American football. After participating in college football at the University of Missouri, the Arizona Cardinals selected him in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft. Before joining the Arizona Cardinals in his second stint, Golden was a member of the New York Giants.
At Affton High School, Golden set a number of records while playing both running back and linebacker. During his junior year, he set a new school record with 168 tackles, as well as a record 16 sacks, and he also rushed for 1,139 yards and 16 touchdowns. In his senior year, he set a school record by rushing for 2,264 yards and scoring 30 touchdowns. In addition, he had 108 tackles and 10 sacks.
