Linebacker Devon Kennard competes in American football for the National Football League’s Arizona Cardinals. He is an investor, philanthropist, and businessman as well. He is 1.91 m tall and 116 kg in weight. He played football while attending Desert Vista High School. Additionally, he took part in the 2009 U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
In January 2009, at a news conference, he declared his intention to enroll at the University of Southern California. He participated in university football for the USC Trojans football team. He earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from USC as well as a master’s degree in communication management with a business management concentration.
Kennard was selected by the New York Giants in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He was given a four-year, $2.36 million contract by the Giants in May 2014, which also included a $144,560 signing bonus. He was given a three-year, $17.25 million contract by the Detroit Lions in March 2018, which included a $5.25 million signing bonus and a guarantee of $8.50 million.
He inked a three-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals in March 2020. On the depth chart for outside linebackers, Kennard was ranked third heading into the 2021 campaign. He made 24 tackles while appearing in 15 games, starting three of them. He was cut by the Cardinals in August 2022 and re-signed to the practice squad. On September 20, 2022, he was elevated to the active roster.
