Justin Pugh was a student-athlete at Council Rock High School South in Holland, Pennsylvania. He had an amazing career in high school.
Pugh was selected to the second team for defense on the Pennsylvania Football News All-State squad in 2008. In his junior and senior years, he was named to the first team of all-area and all-league for the Suburban One League.
Additionally, as a senior, he was named to the second team of all-area for defensive linemen. As the team captain for 2008, he was named team MVP and defensive player of the year. He was selected to the all-regional second team as an offensive lineman in his sophomore year.
After high school, Pugh continue his journey at Syracuse University and was part of the Syracuse Orange football team from 2009 to 2012.
Pugh made an appearance in 34 games of his college career and was named to the All-Big East Conference second team as a sophomore and first team as a junior and senior.
