Nick Vigil is a professional linebacker who plays for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. He is 1.88 m tall and 107 kg. When he was a student at Fremont High School, he was well known for playing football there. He was a player for the Utah State Aggies football team at Utah State University. In the 14 games he played in as a redshirt freshman in 2013, he started four of them.
He concluded the season with 57 tackles and a team-high 5.5 sacks. In his sophomore year, he made all 13 starts and finished the year with a team-high six forced fumbles, six quarterback hurries, 123 tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss, and seven sacks.
He started all 13 games as a junior and recorded 144 tackles. After his junior year, he declared his intention to enter the 2016 NFL Draft. The Cincinnati Bengals selected Vigil with the 87th overall pick in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft. In March 2020, he agreed to a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Chargers. He made his Chargers debut in Week 1 against his former squad, the Cincinnati Bengals.
After becoming unrestricted once more following the 2020 season, he signed a one-year contract with the Minnesota Vikings in April 2021. He took part in 16 contests, made 12 starts, and finished fourth on the team with 85 tackles. With the Arizona Cardinals, he signed a one-year contract in March 2022.
