Darrel Williams is a running back with the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. Williams attended LSU for his college football career. In 2018, the Kansas City Chiefs decided to take a chance on him and sign him as an undrafted free agent.
After graduating from John Ehret High School in Marrero, Louisiana, where he earned a total of 2,036 yards and 27 touchdowns in his senior season, Williams was rated as a four-star recruit by various recruiting services. Arizona State, Wisconsin, Tennessee, and Florida were among the schools that extended him a scholarship offer.
When Williams was a freshman at LSU, he participated in a running back rotation that included three other players. As a senior, he filled in for an injured Derrius Guice in a number of games and started those games.
On October 21, 2017, he became the first player in LSU history to record at least 100 running yards and 100 receiving yards in the same game against Ole Miss. Following the conclusion of the 2017 campaign for LSU, Williams gladly accepted an invitation to participate in the 2018 Senior Bowl.

In his first season, Williams had 13 carries for 44 rushing yards, three receptions for 27 receiving yards, and a receiving touchdown.
Williams had a 34-30 victory in Week 4 of the 2019 campaign against the Detroit Lions by rushing eight times for 13 yards and two touchdowns and catching three passes for 43 yards.
Williams had a career-high 558 running yards and six rushing touchdowns at the end of the 2021 campaign. Additionally, he scored two receiving touchdowns on 47 receptions for 452 yards.
