Darrel Williams plays in the National Football League as a running back for the Arizona Cardinals. The man is 1.80 meters tall and 102 kg. He played football while he was a student at John Ehret High School. He amassed 2,036 yards and 27 touchdowns overall in his senior year of high school.
He was a four-star prospect coming out of high school and had offers from multiple institutions, but he chose Louisiana State University instead, where he played college football for the LSU Tigers. Along with four other freshman, he joined a running back rotation. As a senior, he took the field for several games.
He accepted a request to participate in the 2018 Senior Bowl following the conclusion of LSU’s 2017 season. Williams was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in May 2018 after being passed over in the 2018 NFL Draft. In his first season, he had a combined 13 carries for 44 rushing yards and three receptions for 27 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown.
In March 2021, he agreed to a one-year contract deal with the Chiefs. With 558 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns as of the end of the 2021 season, he had a career best. Additionally, he hauled in 47 catches for 452 yards and two receiving scores. Williams committed to the Arizona Cardinals on a one-year deal in May 2022.
