Maxx Williams is a tight end for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. He attended the University of Minnesota during his college football career and played for the Minnesota Golden Gophers football team. Williams was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
In 2012, Williams spent his first year at the University of Minnesota in a position known as a “redshirt.” In 2013, while a redshirt, he started seven of the 13 games he played in and finished with 25 receptions, 417 yards, and five touchdowns.
At the end of his sophomore season in 2014, he finished with 36 receptions, 569 receiving yards, and eight touchdowns. Williams made it to the final round of consideration for the John Mackey Award.
Williams skipped his junior and senior years of college in order to participate in the 2015 NFL Draft after his redshirt sophomore season.
