Antonio Hamilton is a professional football player with the National Football League’s Arizona Cardinals as a cornerback. He stands 1.83 m tall and weighs 88 kg. He played football when a student at Strom Thurmond High School. At South Carolina State University, he participated in college football for the South Carolina State Bulldogs. He participated there for three seasons, appearing in 33 games overall.
He made 73 tackles, one sack, four interceptions, and nine passes defended. He also had 23 punt returns for 498 yards and two touchdowns in addition to 33 kickoff returns for 818 yards. He was named All-Conference as a return specialist in his junior year.
Hamilton was signed by the Oakland Raiders in May 2016 as an undrafted free agent. On September 1st, 2018, the Raiders cut him go. He was claimed off waivers by the New York Giants the following day. He played in 13 games before to being placed on injured reserve in December 2018 because of a quad injury. In March 2019, the Giants extended his contract with them.
He committed to the Kansas City Chiefs in March 2020. Hamilton signed on with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in May 2021, but was released as part of the team’s final roster cuts in August of that same year. In September 2021, the Arizona Cardinals signed him to their practice squad. He was elevated to the list of the active players on September 29, 2021.
