Badara Traore competes in professional football as an offensive tackle for the National Football League’s Arizona Cardinals. He is 148 kg and 2.01 m tall. He participated on both the basketball and football teams while attending Matignon High School. He attended ASA Collegiate after high school and played college football there for two seasons.
He continued his football career with the LSU Tigers after transferring to Louisiana State University. He participated in all 13 games during his rookie season at LSU, starting two of them. He participated in 13 games during his final season. He received a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Louisiana State University in 2020.
Following the 2020 NFL Draft in April 2020, Traore was signed by the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent. On September 5, 2020, he was released and added the next day to the practice squad. In January 2021, he committed to the Bears under a reserve/futures contract. He was released by the Bears on August 24, 2021. He was picked up off waivers by the Jacksonville Jaguars the next day.
On January 9, 2022, he played in his first NFL game against the Indianapolis Colts. On January 10, 2022, he executed a reserve/future contract. He was released by the Jaguars in August 2022. Traore joined the Arizona Cardinals practice squad in September 2022 after signing.
