White High School in Jacksonville, Florida, for his secondary education. While at Edward H. White High School, Wims was also a member of the high school football team.
On February 3, 2016, which was National Signing Day, Wims made his commitment to play football for Georgia. On September 24, he made his debut for Georgia, during which he had one reception for ten yards.
