Tyler Allgeier, a professional football player with the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League, is a running back. He is 100 kilograms and 1.80 meters tall. He attended Fontana, California’s Henry J. Kaiser High School. He participated in high school football. He finished his high school career with 5,000 running yards and 56 touchdowns, a school record.
After high school, he made a commitment to play college football at Brigham Young University (BYU). For three seasons, he was a member of Brigham Young University’s football team, the BYU Cougars. He played in four games and had nine carries for 49 yards in his debut season at BYU in 2018.
As a true freshman in 2018, he redshirted; the following year, he played both linebacker and running back in alternating weeks. He played in each of the 13 games that season, recording a total of 26 tackles, 0.5 sacks, and 119 yards on 17 carries for the offense. He participated in all 11 of the games he started as a running back in 2020.
By the end of the season, he had rushed for 1,130 yards on 150 attempts and 13 touchdowns. He played in 41 games and started 21 of them while a student at the university. With 36 touchdowns and an average of 6.4 yards per attempt, he gained 2,899 yards overall on 452 tries. In the 2022 NFL Draft, Atlanta Falcons selected Allgeier in the fifth round.
