Michael Ford is an experienced cornerback for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League. Ford attended Southeast Missouri State University, where he played college football for the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks.

On April 28, 2018, Ford became a member of the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent after signing with the team. After failing to make the cut for the team’s active roster coming out of training camp, the Lions re-signed him to the practice squad on September 2, 2018, so that he could continue playing for the team.
On November 14, 2018, Ford was moved up to the active roster for the Lions, which came about as a result of the offensive guard T. J. Lang being placed on injured reserve.
On November 18, 2018, Ford made his debut in the National Football League by starting at cornerback and participating on special teams in a 20–19 victory over the Carolina Panthers. He recorded two tackles throughout the game.
Ford had a total of 25 tackles in his rookie season, during which he appeared in seven games and started four of them.
