For the National Football League’s Atlanta Falcons, Feleipe Franks plays tight end and quarterback in professional football. He is 2.01 m tall and 103 kg in weight. He played football while he was a student at Wakulla High School. He threw for 6,867 yards and 81 touchdowns in high school. The top recruiting services gave him a four-star rating and placed him as the fifth-best pro-style quarterback.
He spent three seasons playing collegiate football for the Florida Gators at the University of Florida. He redshirted his first season at Florida and was named the starting quarterback for the Gators’ 2017 season opening as a redshirt freshman. He declared his intention to leave the Florida team in December 2019.
He transferred to the University of Arkansas, where he played collegiate football for the Arkansas Razorbacks, after the 2019 football season, leaving the University of Florida. He was picked as one of the four team captains for the 2020 season in September, and soon after that, he was chosen as the starting quarterback for the Razorbacks’ season-opening game against Georgia.
The Atlanta Falcons signed Franks after he became an undrafted free agency in May 2021. He played in his first NFL game on the pivotal drive when the Falcons played the New England Patriots in Week 11. His opening pass was intercepted by safety Adrian Phillips, ending the 0-25 shutout loss.
