As a sophomore, he had 109 tackles and six interceptions, earning a berth on the American Athletic Conference’s first team (AAC). As a redshirt senior, he was the team’s top performer in terms of tackles (72), tackles for a loss (3.5), interceptions (3), pass breakups (6), forced fumbles (2), and fumble recoveries (2). For the third consecutive year, he was named to the first team of the AAC.
In his senior year, he was a Jim Thorpe Award finalist and a Bednarik Award semifinalist. Grant was chosen by the Atlanta Falcons with the forty-first overall pick in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year rookie agreement with the Falcons in June 2021. The $8.3 million contract includes a signing bonus of $3.4 million.
