A cornerback for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League, Darren Reginald Hall was born on May 2, 2000. At San Diego State, he participated in college football.
Hall was an intriguing choice who made sense for a Falcons team seeking for developing depth. Hall played four seasons at San Diego State. Hall is a natural ballhawk with 25 PD and 6 INT in 30 games as a starter. He also plays a hard type of coverage and has great zone instincts.
He has also consistently displayed solid tackling and the potential to cause havoc in the backfield as a quality run defender. Hall primarily served as a depth player in 2021. He participated on special teams and played more than 60% of the snaps in three of the games he began.
Hall struggled occasionally in coverage but occasionally showed signs of promise when playing in the slot, especially as a run defender.
What Is Darren Hall Position?
The Atlanta Falcons selected Hall in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, 108th overall. On June 17, 2021, he agreed to a four-year rookie deal with Atlanta playing the position of cornerback.
For the Falcons in his second season, Darren Hall is expected to play a big rotational and depth role.
Hall should once again play a significant part on special teams because of his inside/outside versatility and year of experience in the scheme, which might make him the “first man up” in the event of an injury.
