In the NFL, the Atlanta Falcons’ free safety Erik Harris is a professional football player. At 1.88 m tall and 100 kg, he is both tall and heavy. In high school, he played football at New Oxford High School. During his four seasons at Pennsylvania Western University, he also participated in collegiate football for the California Vulcans. His 231 defensive tackles were the sum of his collegiate career.

He was chosen for both the First and Second teams of the PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) in 2011. On April 11, 2013, Harris was a signed player with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. For Hamilton, he participated in 45 games while recording 79 defensive stops and 27 stops on special teams. In addition to three interceptions, he caught a score for the offense.

As a reserve/future player, Harris was signed by the New Orleans Saints in February 2016. The Saints let him go on September 2, 2017. He signed a $630,000 one-year contract with the Oakland Raiders in the same month. On December 21, 2020, he was added to the Raiders’ COVID-19 list and reserve list. On January 1, 2021, he became operational. He committed to the Atlanta Falcons in March 2021 on a one-year deal.
