Casey Hayward is an American football cornerback for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Vanderbilt.
In the end, Hayward made the decision to pursue his undergraduate education at Vanderbilt University due to the high academic standing of the institution as well as the fact that it is an active participant in the Southeastern Conference.
He started playing right away during his freshman year and made the transition to Nickelback cornerback as his regular position while also contributing on special teams.
In 2009, he was given a promotion to the starting role and played in every game, despite the fact that an injury prevented him from playing for the majority of two games.
After recording 13 tackles against LSU, eight of which were solo stops, and four of which went for a loss, he was given the defensive player of the week award.
Additionally, the team’s defensive backs voted him the most valuable defensive back.
