Germain Ifedi is an American football offensive tackle for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Texas A&M and was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
Ifedi was chosen by the Seattle Seahawks in the 31st round of the draft. He became the fourth offensive lineman from Texas A&M Aggies to be taken in the first round of an NFL Draft in a row, following in the footsteps of Luke Joeckel (2013), Jake Matthews (2014), and Cedric Ogbuehi (2015).
Ifedi inked a deal on May 6, 2016, for a four-year contract that was for $8.27 million in total and included a signing bonus of $4.2 million.
After suffering an ankle injury in September that prevented him from playing, Ifedi earned his first career start and NFL debut on October 2, 2016, when the New York Jets were the opponent in Week 4.
