For the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League, offensive tackle Kaleb McGary is a professional football player. He is 2.01 m tall and 139 kg in weight. He went to Battle Ground High School before changing to Fife High School, where he played offensive line, tight end, and defensive line. To play collegiate football, he pledged to the University of Washington.
He spent four seasons as a member of the Washington Huskies’ collegiate football squad. He was selected to the All-Pac-12 first team in 2018 and was voted the Pac-12’s outstanding offensive lineman, taking home the Morris Trophy. As a rookie in 2019, he began each of his 16 games. He started 13 of his 14 games during the 2020 season .
He started 47 of the 53 games at right tackle for the Huskies over the course of four seasons. Additionally, he played 3,216 snaps and only gave up six sacks. McGary was taken by the Atlanta Falcons with the 31st overall pick in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
He started 13 of the Falcons’ 16 games in 2020. He sustained an injury and left the game against Dallas in the second week. He had missed five consecutive sessions because of a family issue, and he was unable to watch Atlanta’s Week 14 loss to the Chargers. McGary became a free agent that summer after the Falcons elected not to exercise his fifth-year option in May 2022.
