Keith Smith is a veteran of the NFL. The football fullback currently plays for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League. Prior to joining the Falcons, Smith also played for the Dallas Cowboys (2014–2017) and the Oakland Raiders (2018).

Smith, who was born in Pomona, California, didn’t get his start in football until he was in the fourth grade. Smith first became acquainted with Indianapolis Colts cornerback and Charter Oak High School alumni Jason David when he was 11 years old.

David was dating Smith’s older sister at the time. David made the following remarks regarding Smith: “…he was so eager to learn, and he was so anxious to improve himself, that he was willing to do anything it needed to achieve his goals. He spent his weekends working out and studying film, and as a result, he improved with time.” Smith is officially David’s brother-in-law at this point.



In Covina, he received his secondary education at Charter Oak High School and was part of the school’s football program.

After starting as a linebacker as a junior, he was named to the All-CIF Southeast Southern Section team after recording 110 tackles, 5 sacks, and 3 fumble recoveries.

At the end of his senior year, he had accumulated 132 tackles (90 solo) and was named the 2009 Miramonte League Defensive Player of the Year in addition to being named to the All-CIF Southeast Southern Section team. On the track, his event of choice was the shot put.
