Avery Williams plays running back for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League. He participated in collegiate football at Boise State.
Williams was chosen 183rd overall by the Atlanta Falcons in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He had 39 tackles, four passes intercepted, returned 22 punts for 290 yards and two scores, and was once more named honourable mention All-Mountain West in his junior season.
Williams returned 19 kickoffs for 533 yards and two touchdowns as a senior while returning 15 punts for 229 yards and two scores. Williams equalled the NCAA Division I career record with nine return touchdowns.
He was chosen for the first team All-Mountain West as a returner, as well as the Conference’s special teams player of the year and the first team All-American all-around.
