Jalen Mayfield, an offensive lineman for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League, was born on May 23, 2000. Prior to being taken by the Falcons in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft, he played college football for Michigan.
Mayfield, who was up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, began four seasons of football at Catholic Central High School as an offensive tackle and defensive end.
Mayfield committed to play college football for Minnesota in February of his junior year, but three months later he moved to Michigan. Mayfield was chosen by the Atlanta Falcons in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft (68th overall).
