American football tight end MyCole Pruitt plays for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League. He is 1.88 m tall and weighs 111 kg. He attended Kirkwood High School, where he participated in football throughout his time there. He was a three-time All-Conference defensive end and a first-team All-Conference tight end in 2009.
He played collegiate football for the Southern Illinois Salukis at Southern Illinois University from 2010 to 2014. He was given a redshirt in 2010, and during the week of the Quincy game, SIU named him the Offensive Scout Player of the Week. He was a unanimous FCS All-American both as a junior and a senior.
In terms of career receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns among tight ends, he concluded his collegiate football career at SIU as the record holder for the MVFC. His bachelor’s in industrial technology was awarded to him in December 2014. In the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft, Pruitt was chosen by the Minnesota Vikings.
The Tennessee Titans hired him in September of last year. The San Francisco 49ers acquired him in June 2021. August 31, 2021, saw his release. His deal with the Atlanta Falcons was finalized on August 8, 2022. The practice squad re-signed him after his release on August 30. For the week six matchup against the San Francisco 49ers, he was added to the active roster on October 15, 2022.
