Anger was able to secure a contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on March 22, 2016, for a period of one year. Following Jake Schum’s departure from the team, Anger was given the opportunity to start punting.
Anger extended his deal with the Buccaneers on December 31, 2016, signing a new five-year deal for $17 million that will take him through the 2021 season. Anger had 57 punts for a total of 2,567 yards and a 45.04 average during the 2018 season.
