Bryan Corey Anger is an American football punter who currently plays for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League. Anger was born on October 6, 1988.
In the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars selected him to join their team. He attended California College and participated in football there.
Anger earned his high school diploma from Camarillo. He finished his senior year with a punting average of 41.8 yards, 11 punts blocked within the 20-yard line, 42 receptions for 678 yards and 6 touchdowns.
He was named to the All-American teams by SA Today and EA Sports, as well as the All-Far West team by SuperPrep, the All-West Region squad by Prepster, and the first team of the All-State team by Cal-Hi Sports.
According to Rivals, he was ranked as the second-best punter in the country. Rich Eisen, a host for NFL Network,
proclaimed shortly after the Jaguars’ selection of Anger that “Punters are people too!” in response to the news.
Eisen invited Anger to appear as a guest on his show, and during their conversation, Eisen gave Anger a shirt that bore the aforementioned statement.
Although the Jaguars have publicly stated that they never considered drafting Russell Wilson because they already had 2011 first-round pick, Blaine Gabbert,
the team has received much criticism from fans and football experts for drafting a punter ahead of future Super Bowl-winning quarterback Russell Wilson.
