Anthony Barr is an American football outside linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL).
Between the years of 2010 and 2013, he participated in collegiate football at UCLA, where he was recognized as a consensus All-American in 2013.
In the 2014 NFL Draft, the Vikings selected him in the first round, ninth overall, to become a member of their team.
During his first two years at UCLA, Barr played offense, primarily on offense, with positions including running back, wide receiver, and tight end.
It was during his junior year that he made the decision to alter positions and play linebacker instead of running back.
It was at this position that he was recognized as a member of the first-team All-Pac-12 and the second-team All-America by CBSSports.com.
Barr was the senior who led the team in sacks, which is one of the criteria for receiving the Lott IMPACT Award.
