DaRon Bland is an American football cornerback who currently plays for the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League.
Bland was born on July 12, 1999. (NFL). He was a player for Sacramento State before going to Fresno State during his college football career.
Bland spent his childhood in Modesto, California, where he also received his high school education at Central Catholic. He was recognized as the best defensive player in the Valley Oak League during his senior year.
Bland attended Sacramento State University for his first year of college. After recording 43 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and forced fumbles as a junior, he was recognized as the first-team All-Big Sky Conference
. In addition, he had two interceptions and eight passes broken up during that season. After the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States forced the cancellation of Bland’s senior season and postponed it to the spring of 2021, he decided to submit his information through the NCAA Transfer Portal.
After much deliberation, Bland decided that he would attend Fresno State after. In his one and only season with the Bulldogs, he participated in 13 games and recorded 45 tackles, five pass breakups and two interceptions.
He also had a total of five passes that were defended. The Dallas Cowboys chose Bland to be a part of their roster in the fifth round of the NFL Draft in 2022.
On October 2, 2022, Bland made his career debut against Carson Wentz and recorded his first interception of the game.
