Kelvin Joseph is currently in his second season with the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL. He was initially drafted in the 2021 NFL draft as the 44th overall in the second round.
On June 10, 2021, he became a member of Dallas’s organization after penning a rookie deal for four years.
How Good Is Kelvin Joseph?
Kelvin Joseph was expected to play a bigger role in year one after being selected in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft than he did.
Kelvin Joseph wasn’t around much in 2021, but when he was, it was almost always for the better. In his first season, Joseph played only 24% of the defensive snaps but 49% of the snaps for the special teams.
He played well in the brief time he saw on the field as the team’s fourth corner. In his first season, Joseph was targeted 17 times and allowed eight receptions for 89 yards and one touchdown.
Even though those statistics may not sound impressive for a player who has seen little action, Joseph’s footage showed a player who didn’t appear outmatched during his rookie season.
What Happened To Kelvin Joseph?
According to a report from the team’s internal media, Dallas Cowboys cornerback Kelvin Joseph has been exonerated in a neighborhood murder investigation resulting from a drive-by shooting in March.
On March 18, the 22-year-old was seen on camera both inside the pub and outside, including what looked to be footage of a fight between a group that included Ray and Joseph.
Another camera captured an SUV passing Ray’s group shortly after that altercation. At that point, shots were fired from the car, striking Ray as he was walking through a parking lot.
