Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (born December 2, 1983) is an American football quarterback.
After transferring from Butte College to the University of California, Berkeley to play for the Golden Bears, Rodgers achieved numerous career passing records, including the lowest single-season and lifetime interception rates. During the 2005 NFL Draft, he was taken by Green Bay in the first round.
Rodgers became the Packers’ starting quarterback in 2008 after serving as Brett Favre’s backup for the first three seasons of his NFL career. On February 2, 2010, they won Super Bowl XLV, beating Pittsburgh Steelers and winning the MVP award.
Athlete of the Year in 2011 and MVP in 2011, 2014, 2020 NFL seasons were all awarded to him by the Associated Press’s Sports Editors Committee.
Among his many accomplishments, Rodgers has led the NFL in touchdown-to-interception ratio six times (2011, 2012, 2014, 2018, 2020, 2021); in lowest passing interception percentage six times (2009, 2014, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021); four times in passer rating (2011, 2012, 2020, 2021); and four times in touchdown passing percentage (2011, 2012, 2020, 2021). He has also led the NFL three times (2011, 2016), twice in touchdown passes (2016, 2020), and once (2020).
He ranks second in NFL history for regular-season career passer rating with a regular-season passer rating of over 100 (the first time a career passer rating has reached that level).
Rodgers also had the NFL’s highest passer rating, its best touchdown-to-interception ratio, and its lowest passing interception percentage for the entire 2010s decade.
