Kyler Cole Murray was born on August 7, 1997, and is a National Football League quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals. He played collegiate football at Oklahoma, where he won the Heisman Trophy as a junior after a brief spell with Texas A&M.
Murray was the Cardinals’ first-round NFL Draft pick in 2019. He was also taken ninth overall in the 2018 Major League Baseball (MLB) draft by the Oakland Athletics, making him the first player to be selected in the first round of both sports.
Murray was voted NFL Offensive Debut of the Year during his rookie season when he set multiple Cardinals franchise rookie quarterback records. He was named to the Pro Bowl successive seasons following that while helping Arizona to the playoffs in 2021.
Murray was born to Kevin Murray and Misun Henderson in Bedford, Texas. Allen High School in Allen, Texas was his alma mater. He was named the 2014 Gatorade Football Player of the Year as a senior.
