Due to his injuries, he was forced to sit out the first season. He was selected to the third team of the Atlantic Coast Conference after playing all 13 of the team’s games as the Eagles’ starting center during his redshirt sophomore season (ACC). After making 11 starts for the team as a redshirt junior, he was selected first team All-ACC.
